Ta’ Nenu, previously known as Nenu The Artisan Baker, is an authentic Maltese restaurant dedicated to serving traditional Maltese cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting. While our name honours Malta’s rich baking heritage, we are a restaurant, not a bakery, and our experienced chefs guide guests through the art of making the traditional Maltese ftira using age-old techniques and authentic ingredients.
Our ftira workshops provide a unique hands-on experience where guests can prepare their own ftira by choosing and creating the toppings. Please note that while our chefs will explain the dough-making process during the workshop, the dough itself will already be prepared in advance for ease and practicality.
These workshops are available on weekdays at both our Valletta and Mġarr restaurants and are exclusively designed for groups. We cater for student visits, school groups, team-building activities, tourist tours, and similar events.
At Ta’ Nenu, we aim to share Malta’s culinary traditions and cultural heritage in an engaging and enjoyable way. We warmly invite locals, students, groups of friends, and tourists visiting the island to explore the unique blend of culture, tradition, and Maltese cuisine through our ftira workshops.
